HOLD Rare Vintage 1920s Beaded Flapper Wedding Dress Trousseau with Beaded Headpiece, Gloves & Provenance, XXS - XS

Outstanding rare vintage 1920s wedding dress trousseau set featuring a near excellent 1920s glass beaded and prong-set rhinestone embellished flapper dress with a marvelous Deco design and back cutouts! This set includes the original beaded headpiece, fingerless gloves and a handwritten note of provenance. The note states "Marie (Haack) Wesener Wedding Dress Married to Otto Wesener April, 23, 1927. Wash washed so it shrunk."

I don't know the original size, but she is in extraordinary condition. The sleeveless dress is made of silk chiffon and the beadwork is fashioned into Deco designs featuring tiny white glass seed beads, clear and charcoal gray tube beads along with prong-set rhinestones. I love the back nape as there are cutouts and the skirt has a wonderful flare. No closures - you'll need to be able to pull on over your head. Please note: when I purchased this dress, she had short sleeves and her sleeve/underarm area was torn. I had my tailor remove the sleeves and use the non-damaged fabric create a new bias underarm seam. You'd never know when wearing that she wasn't originally sleeveless.

This 1920s wedding trousseau set includes the original tiny seed beaded headpiece. There are two loops at the ends of the headpiece - I'm assume at one point there would have been an elastic cord tied to these loops in order secure in place. That being said, the headpiece is in excellent condition minus no cord.

The fingerless gloves (with exception of the thumb closure) are a darker beige hue and have a slight flare at the open 'finger' end. They are in excellent condition.

Truly a wonderful historical wedding set in rare near excellent condition - perfect for a serious collector or admirer of the 1920s era.

For reference dress form has a 33.5" bust and 24.5" waist. The bust was stressing the fabric and your bust measurement need to be max of 31" in order to preserve her structural integrity.

Some pricking to chiffon & 1 tiny hole at back shoulder near seam (last pic). Back center cutout piece has a slightly darker color (4th pic). Alteration mentioned above.
