1870s 1880s Victorian Beaded Dolman Sleeve Mantel Cape Evening Cloak, Near Excellent

Near excellent condition antique jet black beaded and soutache trimmed silk Victorian mantelet evening cloak with dolman sleeves. Made of faille silk trimmed with blossoming floral soutache embroidery filled in with jet black seed beads! The wide set dolman sleeve hems are trimmed with silk, chenille and beaded fringe. The cloak hem also features the fringed trim. The cloak closes up the front with fabric covered button closures. The interior is lined with thin cotton.

1 small tear to interior edge of right dolman sleeve (see pic). Top button face missing fabric and corresponding button hole has torn. Some dangling threads within chenille fringe & weakened spots to lining. Small lightened spot on front.
