Victorian Bodice, Antique Black Silk Taffeta Jacket, 1870s Peplum Bodice Jacket, Near Excellent XS - S

Antique Victorian black silk taffeta peplum bodice jacket believed to be circa 1870s. Styled with a rounded neckline with 9 fabric covered button down closures (top button missing) and long sleeves with gathered ruffled detailing at hems. Fit and flare silhouette with flattering front and back seams that define the waist with a flared peplum hem that is elongated on the backside. Two non-functional buttons accent center back at waist and the hemline is accented with the same gathered ruffle trim as the sleeve hems. Fully lined with brown glazed cotton. There is no boning at the interior seams.

Light wear to edges at back neckline & front closure. Tiny open 'ghost' stitches on bodice sides bodice where the seams must have been let out. A couple tiny pin size holes and light wear to buttons.
