Vintage 1920s Quilted Silk Paisley Print Dress, Roaring 20s Dress, Antique 1920s Drop Waist Dress, Medium - M/L

Unique vintage 1920's quilted paisley print silk dress. The paisley print portion is striking in yellowish orange, pink and blue hues featuring a quilted embroidery technique that pops against the black background. The paisley fabric is a luxurious silk satin that is lined on the underside with a woven cotton / linen type material to help keep structure and shape. The black material of the dress is also silk - however, there are two different types of silk here. The silk making up the front vest, sleeves, drop waistband and first skirt tier is much softer and flexible. The silk on the back, skirt sides and bottom hem along with the gathered front waist waistband has a stiffer slightly dry feel - I did the pull test and it didn't budge, but please wear with care.

Great styling with a quilted paisley collar neckline accented with a center grosgrain bow and a keyhole opening; long sleeves with cuffed paisley hems; open vest type front showing generous peeks of the quilted paisley print silk with 17 fantastic pink carved button accents; drop waistline embellished with a gathered draped silk sash and ornamental metal buckle, ruched side panels and the tiered skirt. The dress has no closures with exception of two hook/loops at keyhole neckline. Keep this in mind when viewing the measurements as you'll need to be able to pull this on over your head.

Condition: Good to Very Good!
Sleeves have a subtle brown tint - most notable at underarm areas. Tiny stitches and seam stress to back underarm / sleeve seams. One rust hued spot on paisley at RS skirt. Minor tear to silk at RS vest along seam (1st image in last collage). Paisley at underarms (hidden by vest) has mottled. Missing & loose stitches to ruching at right side skirt (1st image in 9th collage). Wear @ keyhole opening where 2nd loop would have been.
