Antique Late 1910s Metallic Beaded Black Silk Edwardian Dress, Belding's Silk, Large - XL 40" Waist

Antique metallic beaded black silk taffeta dress I believe to be late 1910s or possibly very early 1920s. Lightweight silk fabric imprinted with "Belding's" on the inner selvage skirt seam. The Belding Brothers began manufacturing silk thread in 1866 and established themselves in Belding, Michigan in 1890 after expansion due to high demand. Four mills were built, the last of which closed in 1932. This dress has a gathered silk georgette bust inset and a prominent beaded flower center front. Snap closures up the left hand side bodice to shoulder. A net under bust lines the silk with two snap closures down front. You'll need to be able to pull this on over your head.

Condition: Very Good!
A few areas of wear to net lining and upper back net has torn torn (see pic). Tiny remnants of former georgette sleeves. 'Ghost stitches' to fabric above waistline. Teensy hole to nape.
