1900s Edwardian Embroidered Cutwork Linen Dress & Irish Crochet Lace Jacket, Antique 1900s 1910 White Walking Dress Suit Ensemble

Sorry, this item has sold.

Breathtaking 2pc antique 1900s Edwardian cutwork linen embroidered dress and Irish crochet lace jacket including a one of a kind fashion sketch from the previous owner! As you can see, two other dresses circa late 1870s and 1929-1931 are shown in the drawing. This dress listing includes a copy of the original sketch.

The creamy white hued Edwardian linen cut work dress features raised floral vine embroidery with eyelets and stylish diamond shaped designs amidst cut work. One piece construction styled with a high neckline with wire collar stays to maintain shape and rows of cutwork and crochet lace, elbow length sleeves showcasing non-functional fabric covered button accents and a nipped cutwork waist accented with a 3D crochet petaled flower on the backside. Non-functional covered buttons accent the skirt as well as the jacket. The dress closes up the back with hook and eyes.

The linen jacket has so many beautiful and thoughtfully planned details from the Irish crochet lace collar and sleeve hems to the embroidery, eyelets, cutwork and button accents! I love the flattering side views with the elongated front and back with curved sides. The jacket closes with eye/loops down the front center hidden back the large crochet button accents.

A wonderful historical ensemble from the 1900's!
