Victorian Civil War Era Top, Antique 1860s Blouse, Plum Silk and Lace Bodice with Soutache Braid

Fantastic antique 1860s Victorian Civil War era plum silk blouse featuring black silk ribbon and lace ornamentation along with braided soutache trim! Styled with a rounded neckline and drop shoulders, non-functional fabric button accents, scalloped lace trimmed yoke enhanced with gathered silk ribbon and soutache braid, seamed fitted bodice with 15 hook and eye front closures and long sleeves featuring double tiers of the plum silk with ornamental trim, followed by scalloped lace and ribbon which is also repeated at the hem. The bodice is fully lined with glazed cotton and is boned at the inner seams.
