Antique early 1900s black silk Eton jacket, richly detailed with vibrant embroidered trim and decorative silver-tone button accents. Crafted from crisp, lightweight black silk taffeta, this piece has that classic slightly boxy Eton silhouette with beautiful structure. Wide vertical panels of textured woven blackwork frame both the front and back. A bold band of embroidered trim runs along the neckline and down the front placket, worked in earthy olive, gold, and red—which pop against the inky silk. Matching trim also appears at the sleeve cuffs for a cohesive finish.

Decorative silver-tone buttons, each with a small floral motif, trim the front, back, and neckline. They’re paired with applied coiled braid loops that create a wonderful faux-military touch. The sleeves are softly gathered at the armscye to form that early 1900s puffed shape, and pleated panels add further visual interest along the torso. The jacket closes with hook-and-eye fastenings down the center front. The front hem dips slightly lower than the back hem, giving the piece a subtly sculpted line.
