Exquisite vintage 1920s burnout silk velvet flapper dress in rich, inky black! The design plays with texture and light—plush black silk velvet flowers bloom against a sheer black silk chiffon ground that reads silvery-gray in contrast, giving the surface an almost luminous depth. Styled in the classic loose, drop-waist shift silhouette with ‘barely-there’ short sleeves, a round neckline, and a vertical front velvet panel extending to the gathered drop waist accented with hand-applied beadwork, continuing gracefully down to the hem. The asymmetrical skirt hem draws the eye, finished in dramatic beaded flower petals! There is a partially attached sleeveless sheer silk under slip lining. No closures - you'll need to be able to pull on over your head.
