Amazing rare vintage 1950s Lilli Ann princess coat in a classic New Look silhouette! Made from a sumptuous mid-weight black wool broadcloth with a softly lustrous, velvety hand, it showcases Lilli Ann’s renowned mid-century tailoring. The convertible collar is a true statement—dramatic when worn standing up in a sculptural portrait style, or folded into a wide notched lapel secured by a sparkling rhinestone button. Quilted trapunto stitching draws the eye, framing the front panels and echoing down the skirt. The fit-and-flare princess-cut silhouette is incredibly flattering, cinched at the waist with the original self-tie belt before flowing into the sweeping swing skirt. Fully lined in satin. The coat closes with eight front buttons, and that single rhinestone button at the collar.
