Vintage 1940s Pink Rayon Satin Nightgown with Lace Bodice & Bows – NOS Luxite Holeproof Bias-Cut Slip, M - L

Beautiful vintage 1940s pink rayon satin nightgown with a subtle liquid sheen by Luxite / Holeproof, complete with its original paper tag! A dreamy piece of Art Deco style lingerie, it’s cut on the bias for that elegant and extremely flattering fluid 1930s drape. The bodice is styled with a wide V-shaped floral lace yoke that continues over the shoulders into the back. Charming ribbon bows accent each shoulder. The lightly gathered bust and natural-waist seam create a graceful silhouette that skims the figure with side ties to cinch the back. The long bias cut skirt falls in a fluid sweep and is trimmed in matching scalloped lace.

Remarkably, this gown has never been worn and still retains its original Luxite “fashion-approved underthings by Holeproof” paper tag!

I first believed this nightgown to be circa 1930s due to the bias cut silhouette and peachy pink hue which was very common in the 1930s. However, everything I've read online says "holeproof" didn't join with Luxite until 1947. If anyone has more information, I'd love to know.
