Gorgeous antique Edwardian summer dress, crafted from semi-sheer white cotton gauze featuring ornate padded stitch embroidery including floral bouquets and ornamental border motifs—complete with tiny tassel designs! The shawl-style bodice is lavishly embroidered and frames a dainty scalloped net lace neckline, which extends into a small silk-trimmed collar at the back. A central bust net lace inset is accented with decorative oval mother-of-pearl buttons, with hidden hook-and-eye closures beneath. 2/3 length sleeves finish in a medley of lace trims, while a defined, nipped waist flows into a sweeping floor-length skirt. The embroidery reappears at the hem, encircling the lower third with the same ornate design. Additional hook/eye closures appear down the left side waist partially into skirt.

For reference, model is 5'2' with a 31.5" bust and 25.5" waist. I was able to close the hook/eye at waist but it was snug.

Condition: Good to Very Good!
Minor soil to padded stitch at FR bodice (8th pic) - will come out with cleaning.
Tiny remnants of silk trimming F/B bodice (9th collage).
Darning to lace sleeve hem, a few very small holes and wear to silk trimming back collar.
