Incredible museum quality authentic vintage 1920's metallic gold lame and turquoise burnout velvet flapper dress! The coloring is jaw-dropping gorgeous and the burnout velvet appears to be styled in hieroglyphics. Each side is accented with silk flowers enhanced with rhinestone centers and matching turquoise embroidery. Below each flower the lame sides open up into striking Fortuny style pleating that extends to the hem complete with interwoven embroidery.
The dress hem holds it's own little extra bit of pizzazz with a layer of soft and luxurious fur! Definitely one of the best 1920's dresses I've seen and the pleating is reminiscent of French design. I did not find any labels or markings, however, it is obvious this dress was made of the highest quality.
There are no fasteners, so you'll need to be able to pull this on over your head. Please keep that in mind when viewing her measurements.
This dress comes with it's original silk and lame under slip.
