1880s Victorian Beaded Velvet Silk Bodice with Accordion Pleats, Antique Costume Evening Bodice, XS

Striking antique 1880s Victorian silk bodice that has been re-worked to include gorgeous black velvet panels heavily accented with beaded and metallic bullion trimmed floral appliqués! Styled with a V neckline refashioned with a dramatic front shawl collar featuring the embellished velvet trimmed in sheer cotton accordion pleats. The sleeves also are made up of its own accordion pleats. The beige ribbed silk bodice is styled with flattering seam-work and an elongated front and back pointed hem, the former which appears more dramatic due to the V'd velvet panel (that mostly hides the former closures). Tiered accordion pleats trim the sides and back hem creating a peplum-esque visual. Lined in yellow glazed cotton with boning at every interior seam. Closes with 13 modern hook/eyes down center back.
