Victorian Wool Paisley Shawl, Late 1800s Antique Hand Loomed Jacquard Paisley Wrap Blanket, Large 117" x 61.5"

Gorgeous antique paisley shawl, circa 1880s, was hand woven with a jacquard loom in the most striking color palette! Paisley shawls originated in Kashmir and rose with popularity in Europe in the mid 1800s due to the tastes of Queen Victoria. Intricate craftsmanship and design was employed in this shawl with a charcoal center and vivid coloring. Two edges have fringed borders with green selvedge running along the other two edges.

Measurements: 117" x 61 1/2"

Condition: Good!
A few holes/wear (very hard to see until you hold up and look at underside). Tear at fringed hem. Fringed hem is shortened on portion (see images).
