1880s Victorian Bustle Dress, Antique Sapphire Blue Silk Velvet Bustle Skirt and Bodice Set, Historical Fashion

Striking antique 1880s blue silk & velvet Victorian bustle dress, skirt and bodice set. The bodice is styled with a striped velvet split collar neckline and velvet striped front bust with 16 ornate shank button closures. Long split cuffed sleeves, flattering seam-work with a nipped waistline, V front hem and a fabulous elongated back with pleated fringed tails! The bodice is fully lined with glazed cotton and boned at every seam. The bustle skirt has a tiered overlapping split front with striped velvet trim, fabulous draping and a voluminous back bustle. Button loop closure at back waistband.

Large underarm rings w/ 2 stitched areas darns. 1 pull to front, 1 light spot. Small tears / wear to right sleeve. Faint yellow discoloration to back bodice on left side. Small portion of lining visible on back skirt & some minor discolorations.
