Late 1840s 1850s Victorian Silk Ruched Bodice with Fringe, Antique 19th Century Historical Costume

Rare completely hand sewn historical Victorian bodice dating to the late 1840s - 1850s. The color is a combination of golden brown with a hint of green - a golden olive - in an embossed silk pattern. Fantastic shirred and pleated detailing along the front shoulders, and rounded waistline. Drop shoulders featuring a fringed cap over sleeve with fitted under sleeves that have three hook/loop closures at split hems. The bodice is fully lined in glazed cotton and closes with hook/eyes down the center back. One bone remains along the interior right side seam.

Missing 5 eye closures.
Extra strips of silk between the interior ends of fringed cap sleeves - see 7th pic collage.
