Truly a unique antique straw and silk embroidered cloche sun hat circa late 1910s / 1920s. I have never seen a hat with metallic bullion embroidery on the straw portion as well as the silk. Wide scalloped straw under-brim that is covered on the outside in goldenrod silk each showcasing embroidered metallic bullion in a floral design. Three front interior brim embroidered flowers are covered in pink, dusty mauve and yellow silk along with one outer brim flower in grayish blue and dusty mauve. The back flips up showing off the stitched embroidery. Inner crown is lined in silk.

Condition: Very Good!
Some discoloration to embroidered silk flowers (last two collages). Silk crown lining has some small tears.
