Outstanding 1900s scarlet red wool tweed walking suit trimmed in black silk taffeta that'll enchant all the wolves while walking to grandmother's house! This two piece antique Edwardian dress set has major Gibson Girl vibes with the pouched front bodice jacket and sweeping asymmetrical floor length skirt. Her bodice jacket is styled with a large cape collar while her sleeves and bodice are enhanced with black silk taffeta designed in vertical and connected diamond shaped patterns. She has an open style front that comes together in gathers at the waist and closes down the partially attached curved waistband with three hook and eyes. She's fully lined with black silk taffeta with black cotton lining the interior sleeves.
The skirt has a thin black silk waistband and is partially fitted through the hip with flattering short vertical tuck seams. From the hip she continues to flare out into a sweeping front hem with an elongated backside. Black silk taffeta trims the hem with more of the geometric diamond shapes (only on the front side) and horizontal stripes. The skirt closes with two hook and eyes (one eye is a modern replacement).
