Antique 1900s 1910s Pink Dress, Edwardian Sheer Pink Fancy Weave Embroidered Pink Gown with Silk Ribbon Flowers, Braid and Fringe

Gorgeous antique 1900s 1910s fancy weave pink gown featuring silk fringe, braid and ribbon flowers! The outer fabric is dreamy featuring brocade-like 'ribbons' of dainty embroidered flowers interwoven into the sheer material. After consulting with the Vintage Fashion Guild, the material may be a Leno weave and the fancy embroidered strips could be a Dobby weave.

She's styled with a wrap-style neckline trimmed in pink silk, silk fabric flowers and silk braid. Silk bands extend from each side of bust wrap creating a waistband that closes in the center back with hook and eye. Short silk fringe trims the outer edges of the wrap and back tails. The tiered sleeves are designed with an inner layer of trimmed pink silk and a shortened outer tier of the sheer woven material with fringe. The skirt has two tiers: an inner layer of pink silk and the shortened outer tier that is partially attached on the left front/back sides fastening with hooks and eyes. Hooks and eye closures also extend down the front left side outer skirt creating a split hem accented with silk braid and an amazing large silk ribbon flower pin with silk tendrils and flower buds. The back of dress has hook and eye closures down the bodice. The bodice portion (with exception of sleeves) is lined with pink cotton. The cotton lining is a 'newer' replacement as there are remnants of silk lining that I can just barely see through the sheer outer layer near underarm seam.

She is pictured with an antique cotton petticoat underneath to show the fullness of her skirt - not included in sale.

Condition: Good / Has been washed.
I gently soaked her to remove some prior yellow stains but unfortunately during the drying process some of her back embroidery threads laid upon the sheer material resulting in some gray streaking (most notable shown in pics). A stain remains on skirt near hem. Faint yellowing to silk sleeve hems. Inner silk sleeve has large tears at underarms (hidden by sheer over sleeve - see pics).

Even with her flaws she presents beautifully and is such a unique design made with beautiful materials.
